We're looking for an Electrical Engineering Project Manager to join our growing Property & Buildings group serving the DC, Maryland, and Virginia region. In this pivotal role, you'll deliver creative, tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients while managing multi-discipline projects from concept to completion. You'll engage with internal teams and external stakeholders, overseeing every aspect of project delivery—including scope, budget, schedule, quality, safety, and profitability. You'll also play a key role in preparing proposals and RFQs for exciting new opportunities. Collaboration is at the heart of this role, as you'll build strong relationships across our Southeast Business Groups of Environment, Water, Transportation, and Engineering Design to support existing GHD clients in the Property & Buildings space. Requirements

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • PE license, multiple states preferred or NCEES Record Holder.
  • 7-15 years of electrical power generation, distribution, and utilization system projects' design experience.
  • Previous consulting experience preferred.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary projects on time and within budget.
  • Federal Government DoD and civilian agencies' project experience a plus.
  • Active member of relevant industry associations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver creative, tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of clients.
  • Manage multi-discipline projects from concept to completion.
  • Oversee every aspect of project delivery including scope, budget, schedule, quality, safety, and profitability.
  • Prepare proposals and RFQs for new opportunities.
  • Conduct research using primary data sources and select information for analysis.
  • Discuss and recommend technical developments to improve quality.
  • Manage technical troubleshooting projects and develop effective solutions.
  • Achieve specific goals for a designated part of a research program.
  • Develop personal capabilities through training and coaching.
  • Maintain an understanding of technology, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Deliver small- or medium-scale projects within an established program management plan.
  • Create complex engineering drawings to support engineering solutions.
  • Lead major equipment rebuilds and guide installation of complex systems.
  • Design engineering solutions and validation processes.
  • Manage relationships with small clients and assist in managing larger client relationships.
