Electrical Engineering Manager

About the position

CDI Engineering Solutions is conducting a national search for an Electrical Engineering Manager to work in our Engineering Center in SW Houston, TX. The candidate will be responsible for workforce staffing, budgeting, quality control, and technical excellence within the department.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise discipline engineering staff
• Coordinate design activities and staffing requirements
• Recruit, interview, and hire discipline design personnel
• Address personnel issues and disciplinary actions
• Evaluate project requirements and technical estimates
• Coordinate training and development for discipline design staff
• Evaluate and approve third-party applications
• Conduct performance reviews and approve expenses
• Manage department billability and control non-billable expenses
• Develop marketing materials and participate in sales calls
• Coordinate with remote offices and develop employee development plans

Requirements

• PE License in Texas with preferred 15 years of experience
• Experience working in the refining/petrochemical industry(s)
• Experience as a lead engineer on medium and large projects
• TWIC Card required
• Software proficiency: ETAP, SKM, etc.
• BS in Electrical Engineering (or higher) from an ABET accredited institution
