Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 7+ years of design experience and 2+ years of managing teams.
  • Proven track record of managing or working with small groups to bring electronics designs from concept to product.
  • Experienced with product development processes, conducted design reviews, and present program status a wide range of internal stake holders.
  • Proficient in high-speed digital design including multi-gigabit SERDES, DDR, Ethernet (MAC/PHY), SPI, I2C, and FPGAs (Xilinx 7-series, Ultrascale+, Vivado).
  • Competent with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers, current probes) and test automation.
  • Experienced in schematic capture, high-speed PCB design, and layout guidance.
  • Familiar in C/C++, Python, MATLAB, and LabVIEW for development and automation.
  • U.S. citizenship due to access restrictions.

  • Background in aerospace, spaceflight, military, or cryogenic electronics design.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of electronics engineers, firmware engineers and technicians in developing electronics for infrared sensors.
  • Design electronics from concept to functional prototype, schematic & PCB design, component selection, board bring-up, and system level integration.
  • Troubleshoot issues that span the electrical and software boundaries, with solid skills using both lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, DMM, etc.) and basic debugging tools.
  • Work closely with cross functional engineering groups, mechanical, software, firmware, systems and test engineers to deliver fully functional products.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment supporting new developments, active deployments, and customer operated hardware.
  • Concurrently manage involvement in multiple projects at various stages.
