About The Position

Electrical Engineering Manager (First Line Manager) Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA), Electrical Subsystems Design Center in Everett, WA has an exciting Electrical Engineering Manager (First Line Manager) opportunity available within our Proximity Systems team w orking with sensing and detecting components . You'll be responsible for a team of hardware/software engineers owning on some of the physical sensing and detecting systems and components of our airplanes. In this role, you will apply your leadership skills, technical expertise, and dedication to quality to lead a team of engineers in supporting design and certification of many/all our commercial programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 5+ years of proven track record in an engineering role
  • 2+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role
  • Experience with systems engineering and integration of sophisticated systems
  • Experience leading through influence and partnering with multi-functional teams on projects and initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of employees performing electronic systems development activities.
  • Supervise team execution plans to achieve performance expectations.
  • Provides approval of work group technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Ensures work group products or processes meet customer, company, quality, industry and regulatory requirements.
  • Engage effectively with suppliers’ leadership to develop plans and processes and lead all aspects of project execution in support of program breakthroughs.
  • Directly contacts program management to provide status on programs and projects.
  • Forecasts resource needs and acquire and lead personnel to meet project and daily operating requirements.
  • Collaborate proactively with peers and partners, implement policies and lead process improvement activities.
  • Support direct reports in their professional and personal development goals.
