Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Electrical Engineering Manager 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be based out of Huntsville, AL. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

  • Overall functional oversight and management of an Electrical Engineering group.
  • Spend ~20% of time on functional/organizational support and ~80% on technical program work.
  • Organizational administrative activities and helping employees’ performance and career development through guidance and training.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills and effective communication.
  • Build diverse and inclusive teams with high levels of engagement, including mentoring and coaching.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) from an accredited university with 6 years of experience with a BS, or 4 years of experience with a Master's degree.
  • 1+ year experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.
  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application.
  • Experience working with Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Electronic Systems.
  • Experience using Mentor Capital.
  • Experience reading engineering drawings and specification sheets.
  • Experience analyzing requirements and interface documentation.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a geographically distributed environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of tools - PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
  • Experience resolving issues and providing technical support.
  • Capable of working with minimal direction and in team environments.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in a multi-disciplined environment.
  • 2+ years experience leading teams in a functional, programmatic or technical capacity.
  • Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance.
  • Proficient with PDM and/or CPLM.
  • Supplier Management Team(SMT) experience for COTS Supplier including adherence to SDRLs/CDRLs.
  • Experience deriving hardware-level requirements from interface, compliance, and performance requirements.
  • Experience using cable routing functionality in Siemens NX certification preferred.
  • Experience designing or implementing systems using COTS hardware components.
