Let's make plastics recycling real - together. Purpose Provide relentless LEADERSHIP for both safety and continuous improvement on Key Performance Indicators (KPI's). Ensure longevity and care for the recycling plant equipment, buildings, and operations. Follow up on electrical engineering projects from concept to realization, with reporting to higher management and focus on path forward towards industry 4.0 standards and advanced analytics modelling. Focus on digitalization and process automatization by using simple, technical and concrete solutions. Make sure that the company's interests are properly being reflected in all decision steps and organize knowledge distribution within and with respect to upcoming innovation steps and legal requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • Must have completed vocational school Industrial Maintenance program or have five years (minimum) work experience in the field of Industrial Maintenance.
  • Plastic extrusion or plastic recycling experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in electrical design and development (analog, power, digital) and experience with processes, projects, and technologies of manufacturing plants in electrical/automation application field
  • Experience in circuit design and analysis, system integration, testing, debugging.
  • Experience in schematic entry, layout tools and design for testability
  • Experience in engaging, working with and managing vendors and suppliers to deliver in fast-paced technical environment.
  • Analytical, leadership and conceptualizing skills
  • Excellent communicator with interpersonal impact (influencing and persuading), customer oriented (departments are as well internal customers) and decisive.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement maintenance program for new recycling plant.
  • Ensure all equipment, building and plant operations are SAFE and in good working condition.
  • Provide clear direction/ training and consistent supervision to all your Maintenance Team members.
  • Responsible for maintaining and improving the Preventative Maintenance System (PMS).
  • As part of PMS, measure and record screw/rotor and barrel/chamber wear - act as needed.
  • Coordinate, assign and direct daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly schedules.
  • Plan, organize and execute tasks and/or repairs.
  • Implement engineering changes to equipment, as necessary.
  • Responsible for repairs of equipment in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for installations of new and existing equipment.
  • Responsible for wastewater process and City Water Department relations (if applicable)
  • Work with Contractors, Vendors, OEM Suppliers and Machine Shops.
  • Work with local power, gas, and water departments.
  • Responsible for negotiating pricing and terms for parts and equipment.
  • Work with Responsible for Critical Spare Parts inventory - organize storage.
  • Ensure key equipment suppliers carry "big ticket" spare parts on their shelves.
  • Predict parts orders as needed due to performance wear and fatigue of equipment.
  • Schedule delivery of parts and equipment as needed.
  • Schedule and implement at least two plant shutdowns each year for preventative or needed maintenance.
  • Permanent member of the Safety Committee.
  • Create and track performance data points for equipment when needed.
  • Demonstrate skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematic diagrams, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and adjust as needed.
  • Plan, organize and direct the electrical engineering projects to completion.
  • Strong analytical and methodological root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills.
  • Develop, configure and optimize industrial electrical/automation project steps/plans by monitoring and providing enhancement to all key project variables.
  • Develop and perform process control simulations/trials and administer all optimization from conceptualization to validation.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematic diagrams, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment in a timely manner.
  • Asset tracking and disposal of old equipment.
  • Implement capital expenditure projects on-time, on-budget, right the first time and safely.
  • Maintain tools and gages in good working condition and well organized.
  • Responsible to create machine parts accrual for accurate spend yearly for operations.
  • Monthly budget tracking for repair expenses.
  • Follow all Quality, Safety and Environmental Procedures.
  • Support Continuous Improvement Teams (CIT) as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager
  • Uphold the Company Code of Conduct standards.
