About The Position

SetPoint Medical's Electrical Engineering intern responsibilities will be to perform the circuit analysis and FMEA of microelectronic circuits used in our medical devices, including support of long-term reliability testing, product sustaining and Next Gen activities, and electrical circuit failure investigations. This work will involve utilizing theoretical and analytical tools, emulated boards, production PCBA, and bench top and data acquisition equipment. The FMEAs shall be documented following SetPoint’s procedure. SetPoint Medical's interns contribute to groundbreaking projects and initiatives while getting hands-on experience for career development. As part of the summer internship program, motivated students and young leaders will be able to join a collaborative effort in one of our departments and expand upon your skills with a fundamental impact on the future of medicine. This paid internship will allow you to benefit professionally while helping SetPoint define a new therapeutic category of neuroimmune modulation. This full-time position is in office, Monday - Friday, reporting to company headquarters in Valencia, CA. Internship dates are flexible based on your school calendar.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or above.
  • Majoring in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Electrical & Computer Engineering.
  • Must have completed courses in Basic/Advanced Electronics or Network/Circuit Analysis at a minimum.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Highly self-motivated with a strong passion for innovation and quality.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong teamwork skills, demonstrating inclusivity, decisiveness, facilitation, process improvement mindset, and approachability.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred knowledge in RF circuit design, Bluetooth, Wireless Power Transfer, Li-Ion Battery charging, and SMT component hand soldering is a plus.
