About the position
The Electrical Engineering Intern position at Ameresco, Inc. offers a unique opportunity for students pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering to gain hands-on experience in the renewable energy sector. The intern will work with the RNG Electrical Engineering team, focusing on designing and implementing electrical systems that support the production and distribution of renewable natural gas. This role is designed to foster innovation and collaboration while contributing to a cleaner and greener future.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of electrical systems for RNG facilities.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to perform electrical calculations, simulations, and analyses.
- Support the integration of renewable energy sources into existing electrical grids.
- Participate in site visits and fieldwork to gather data and ensure project compliance.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, documentation, and presentations.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues in RNG systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and renewable energy technologies.
- Proficiency in CAD software and electrical simulation tools.
