Requirements

  • Currently a student earning a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Must be graduating between spring 2026 and summer 2027
  • Familiarity with electrical safety basics
  • Experience with LabView and operating Electrical Equipment
  • Strong electrical principles and circuits skills required
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technicians and engineers
  • Demonstrated ability to use oscilloscope, DC Power supply and power tools
  • A thorough understanding of connection and operation of a Multi-Meter (DMM or DVM)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with high voltage/medium voltage power electrical equipment up to 480VAC
  • Schematic drafting experience using Visio, AutoCAD, Draftsight, etc.
  • Labview, Python experience is a plus
  • Experience with various power supplies, PCS, and batteries
  • Experience with embedded systems (micro-controller systems)
  • Familiarity with serial communication like CANBUS and Ethernet

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop test equipment, including electrical design and LabView testing.
  • Build, validate, and commission test equipment and fixtures
  • Assist in New Product Introduction by building units without existing work instructions
  • Create and maintain Bill of Materials for test equipment and fixtures
  • Fabricate, assemble, debug, and continuously improve test fixtures and equipment used in engineering and production
  • Assist in failure analysis of, and data collection on, the product units and associated test equipment
  • Procure items required to build test equipment by using Purchase Requests software in Oracle
  • Identify components from approved suppliers that to meet equipment requirements
  • Draft electrical schematics, for new testing equipment and update existing schematics
  • Make and document changes and upgrades to existing equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
