About The Position

Nighwing is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience by supporting a variety of engineering tasks and projects under the guidance of senior staff. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Assisting with the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components. Conducting basic engineering calculations, data analysis, and field surveys. Preparing and updating technical documentation, reports, schematics, and design drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit). Building and testing prototypes using common laboratory equipment like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies. Troubleshooting and resolving minor operational problems in electrical systems in collaboration with other personnel. Researching industry standards, safety regulations (e.g., National Electrical Code), and new technologies relevant to ongoing projects. Collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., mechanical engineers, project managers) and participating in team meetings. Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited program (ABET accreditation preferred).
• Completed at least two years of study in a relevant program.
• Strong academic performance (a minimum GPA of 3.0 is often preferred).
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.
• Self-motivated, eager to learn, and capable of taking direction and working effectively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with engineering design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or electrical simulation software (e.g., SKM, ETAP) is a plus.
