About The Position

Ready to see how power, controls, and instrumentation come together in a real
industrial environment? As an Electrical Engineering Intern at Centrus Energy,
you’ll support the systems that power advanced uranium enrichment operations.
This internship is designed for students who want hands-on exposure to
industrial electrical systems, instrumentation, and control technologies in a
highly regulated manufacturing setting.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or graduate program in electrical engineering
• Coursework in circuits, power systems, control systems, or industrial electronics
• Basic understanding of electrical schematics and ladder logic
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical or similar drafting tools
• U.S. citizenship

Nice To Haves

• Experience with PLCs, instrumentation, or motor controls through coursework or labs
• Exposure to power distribution concepts in industrial environments
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting mindset
• Completion of at least two years of college-level electrical engineering study

Responsibilities

• Assist electrical engineers with system evaluations, control panel layouts, cable routing, and instrumentation support for plant equipment
• Review single-line diagrams
• Support troubleshooting of motors and variable frequency drives
• Analyze electrical loads
• Assist with PLC or control system documentation
• Contribute to design updates and technical reports
• Participate in safety and design reviews
• Support testing activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable and compliant plant operations
