Kimley-Horn is seeking Electrical Engineering students to join our Virginia Beach, Virginia office. This position is not remote and offers a unique opportunity to engage in hands-on experience within the field of electrical engineering. As an intern, you will utilize various technical software programs regularly to analyze, produce, and ensure quality control of deliverables for our clients. You will be tasked with solving complex engineering problems, assisting project managers, and collaborating across different disciplines to help realize our clients' visions for the future built environment. In this role, you will develop a strong familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as the practices, procedures, and standards upheld by both Kimley-Horn and our clients. You will perform general mechanical engineering tasks that support various project managers as required. Specifically, you will support our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) team, focusing on large-scale HVAC design projects. The types of projects you may work on will vary and could include airports, facilities, universities, and more, providing a diverse range of experiences and learning opportunities.
