Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with a preference toward Power Engineering, or Electrical & Computer Engineering or related field

Nice To Haves

  • Experience utilizing various pieces of test equipment including oscilloscopes, digital data acquisition systems, digital multi-meters, power supplies, load banks, three-phase power analyzers, insulation resistance testers, etc.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with Networking, Serial Communications, Power Distribution, Power Conversion, Controls, and Aerospace & Defense industry
  • Excellent communication, technical writing and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of LabVIEW, SolidWorks, AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of and/or understanding of circuit analysis and operational concepts
  • Familiarity with various computing environments (LINUX/Windows)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Determine design approaches and parameters
  • Perform system analysis to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
  • Utilize modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results
  • Write technical reports
  • Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability
  • Perform simulations and present design reviews to peer engineers
  • Review and understand customer provided electrical equipment technical specifications
  • Review and understand military specifications
  • Develop functional electrical designs in accordance with all applicable specifications
  • Prepare parts lists for release to Supply Chain
  • Prepare schematics and wiring diagrams
