Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited program entering Junior or Senior year for BSEE or BSEET degree.
  • Ability to use AutoCAD to update electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to use electrical test meters, PC's and/or schematics to troubleshoot electrical equipment/infrastructure.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications
  • Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2026 (May-August 2026) with a graduation date of December 2026 or later
  • Be interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity.
  • Be willing to work at the posted job location

Responsibilities

  • Ability to assist in troubleshooting infrastructure equipment, systems and processes when required to ensure uninterrupted customer supply.
  • Works with Quality and Engineering to document repairs/changes made to equipment and/or electrical infrastructure.
  • Identifies critical spare parts to have on-hand to prevent extended downtime.
  • Participates in required PPA's and electrical/mechanical shutdowns.
  • Ability to assist in troubleshooting to the component level.
  • Work closely with union trades, subcontractors and across all levels and organizations.
  • Self-starter and motivated to complete the task at hand.
  • Ability to multi-task.
