Electrical Engineering Intern - Summer 2026
About The Position
In the Global Products Group, we are dedicated to excellence in the design and engineering of Lam's etch and deposition products. We drive innovation to ensure our cutting-edge solutions are helping to solve the biggest challenges in the semiconductor industry. You will be part of a dynamic team that is responsible for research, design, development, modification and evaluation of our product’s control system, its power distribution system as well as the design, development, modification and evaluation of novel subsystems consisting of electrical and electronic systems, down to the discrete circuit and PCBA level. You will help determine design approaches and analyze equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests and evaluate results. Designs, develops, modifies and evaluates components and processes used in the generation, manipulation, transmission and storage of electricity.
Requirements
- Candidate is working towards either a Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or another similar degree program.
- Hands-on experience in electronic circuit design (analog, digital), development and associated electrical board design, troubleshooting and validation.
- Understanding of and experience in signals and controls theory.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Interest and experience with power distribution and control system design of complex multidisciplinary systems (such as unmanned vehicle, drones, robotic systems, or similar).
- Interest and experience with embedded systems and digital logic devices (FPGA/CPLD, Microcontroller, sensors and related devices).
- Interest and experience with RF or high voltage subsystem design.
Responsibilities
- Determines design approaches and parameters.
- Analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results.
- Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.
- Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
- Interact with other Engineers and Engineering Disciplines to define system requirements.
