About The Position

AtkinsRéalise is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our Orlando, FL office. AtkinsRéalise is a world-class engineering services and nuclear organization. For over 50 years, we've partnered with public and private clients across the U.S. to deliver infrastructure planning, engineering, construction, environmental consulting, urban planning, architecture, and program management. Our Internship Program, Explore, is designed for college students pursuing a degree in a STEM field and provides opportunities to learn what it's like to work in a professional environment and apply what's learned in class to the real-world challenges we face every day.

Requirements

  • No experience is generally required with the applicable high school courses or equivalent training, or if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field in an ABET accredited program.
  • High school level courses in math, technical drafting, computer assisted drafting and/or science may be required.
  • Math skills to perform simple calculations; willingness to learn.
  • Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or Revit (preferred but not required).
  • No professional registrations required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare calculations and reports.
  • Gain experience with engineering systems and learn to read building plans and specifications.
  • Perform analysis (voltage drop and short-circuit calculations) of electrical design schemes.
  • Interact with various members of a design team.
  • Create and/or modify CAD/Revit models.
