About The Position

The Electrical Engineering Intern position at Emerson Tool Company is designed for students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related fields. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related program such as electronics, mechatronics, or robotics.
  • Must have completed the equivalent of 3 years of coursework.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship will not be provided.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior internship or co-op experience.
  • Candidate resides near the business location.
  • Experience with oscilloscopes and digital multimeters.
  • Ability to apply fundamental concepts of electrical engineering principles such as circuit design and analysis, power electronics, and motors.

Responsibilities

  • Assist new product design and development by producing sketches and layouts, creating and evaluating prototypes, and supporting the development of schedules, costs, and engineering documents.
  • Advance electrical technology in products by researching competitive products, evaluating and testing findings, and reviewing market analysis to drive product solutions.
  • Perform sustaining engineering activities by evaluating engineering change requests, preparing change orders, and supporting laboratory testing and agency approvals.
