Kimley-Horn is looking for Electrical Engineering students to join our Orlando, Florida (FL) office's Power Delivery team focusing on Power Studies! This is not a remote position. Responsibilities Support the power electrical team to analyze systems, create software models, and write reports for various projects e.g. commercial, industrial and generation projects Studies performed may include : Load Flow / Reactive Power Analysis Arc Flash, Short Circuit, and Coordination studies using ETAP or any steady state power system tool Transient studies using PSS/E and PSCAD Harmonic studies using ETAP, PSCAD or transient software Partner with the electrical team to create calculations and drawings for various project types Continually gain knowledge in power & energy industry Assist with project design, specifications, and plans support Review work with quality in mind to confirm compliance with Kimley-Horn quality standards Qualifications In the process of receiving an ABET accredited Electrical Engineering Degree (Bachelors , Masters , or Doctorate ) PSCAD, PSS/E, ETAP, WinIGS , or CDEGS experience preferred Understanding or willing to learn, the NEC 2020 and IEEE standards and keep up with emerging technologies General understanding of engineering and energy systems Load Flow, Coordination, Short Circuit, and Arc Flash studies basic theory and methodology Proficiency using Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (AutoCAD) Proficient with Microsoft Office Ability to work and manage several project teams concurrently The ability to work independently or in a team environment effectively The ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment Why Kimley-Horn?
