We are seeking an Associate Engineer - Avionics Integration and Test Engineer intern who will work out of our Huntsville, AL location for Summer 2026. The candidate will contribute to the design and development of special test equipment for military and space Avionics products. The candidate will be developing technical specification, performing electronics design, fabrication and integration and test activities for the Avionics Integration & Test Department, as well as developing software for custom designed Avionics test equipment products.

Requirements

  • Candidate must be enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate degree program related to Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design, or similar degree.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to analog and digital design activities.
  • Hands-on experience in an electronics laboratory environment.
  • Experience in a test software programming language such as LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, Visual Basic, or C++.

Responsibilities

  • Under supervision of senior engineering staff, design and develop test equipment hardware and software designs for testing flight level avionics controllers, sensors, power electronics and the associated cabling.
  • Develop specifications and design documentation associated with avionics test equipment hardware and software designs.
  • Support the integration and verification of avionics test equipment designs in an electronics laboratory environment.
  • Support the coordination and presentation of avionics test equipment design, manufacturing and integration activities with other internal organizations such as Program Management, Avionics Design, Manufacturing and Quality Engineering.
