About The Position

SUMMER 2026 Shure offers a challenging, fun and rewarding summer internship program. The twelve-week program is offered to undergraduate and graduate students. We offer internships with a variety of work arrangements from onsite interns to fully remote in US. Each intern will receive a competitive salary. Additionally, Interns who are asked to relocate to Illinois for onsite internships will receive a housing stipend to cover living expenses. Applications will be collected, reviewed, and selected candidates will be contacted in late fall/early winter As the Electrical Engineering Intern (Digital Circuitry) , you will work under the close direction of senior staff on the design, implementation, and testing of electronic circuits for wireless microphones, signal processors, and conference systems. This Internship is Onsite, based in our Niles, IL location.

Requirements

  • Two years of coursework in Electrical Engineering or a related area.
  • Basic knowledge of digital logic circuits, embedded microcontrollers, analog-to-digital converters, digital-to-analog converters, DSPs, FPGAs, and other digital components.
  • Basic knowledge of audio related circuits, audio systems, and audio measurement techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and multimeters.
  • Soldering and circuitry building or repair skills
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and an attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
  • Applicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with schematic CAD software, PCB layout, and SPICE simulation software is a plus.
  • Experience with programming languages or creating test scripts is a plus.
