About The Position

We’re looking for three (3) Electrical Engineering Interns to support the design and deployment of next-generation energy systems, including battery energy storage systems (BESS), microgrids, and distributed energy resources (DERs). This is a hands-on learning opportunity for students interested in power systems and real-world energy infrastructure. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers and gain exposure to projects from early design through deployment. If you’re curious, detail-oriented, and excited to learn how modern energy systems are built and deployed, this role is for you.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Interest in power systems, renewable energy, or battery energy storage (BESS)
  • Basic understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals (circuits, power distribution, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Clear communication skills and a proactive mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with CAD tools or electrical design software is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support electrical design efforts for power systems, including BESS and distributed energy solutions
  • Assist in developing and updating single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and basic electrical schematics
  • Help review electrical components such as panels, switchgear, and protection devices
  • Participate in project planning discussions and engineering reviews
  • Conduct research on electrical codes (NEC), standards, and emerging technologies
  • Support documentation, calculations, and engineering reports
  • Assist with inventory tracking, organization, and coordination of electrical components and equipment
  • Help maintain accurate inventory records and support material planning for projects
  • Assist with site visits, testing, or commissioning activities when applicable
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and product

Benefits

  • Hands-on experience working on real-world energy infrastructure projects
  • Exposure to battery energy storage systems, microgrids, and distributed energy resources
  • Mentorship from experienced engineers and cross-functional leaders
  • Understanding of electrical codes, standards, and how they apply in practice
  • Insight into how engineering teams operate in a fast-growing startup
