Your Opportunity The MCF (Mission Critical Facilities) Electrical Designer will launch his or her career as a Designer with the electrical engineering team. This role prepares project deliverables in accordance with Stantec's standards and performs basic technical tasks under the supervision of a Project Engineer. The data center industry is continually evolving, and this is an ideal opportunity for candidates who enjoy working on technically challenging projects that require cutting edge designs.

Requirements

  • Experience with applicable software (i.e. Revit and AutoCAD, among others) within your own discipline preferred.
  • Aptitude and drive to analyze complex problems and convey solutions in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to effectively shift attention between multiple projects.
  • Experience and desire to work in an entrepreneurial and innovative environment.
  • Possess basic knowledge of engineering practices within own discipline.
  • Possess foundational knowledge of core electrical principles such as circuits and power systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with demonstrated progress toward achieving PE in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

  • Works with a team of technical staff to develop project deliverables ranging from design documents to technical reports.
  • Applies knowledge of basic engineering concepts, principles, practices, and procedures for electrical design, calculations, analysis, and investigation.
  • Coordinates tasks with other teams across the firm and outside consultants.
  • Assists project engineer with more advanced technical activities.
  • Uses appropriate technology and software (i.e. REVIT and CAD among others) to prepare project deliverables and production tasks assigned by project engineer.
