About The Position

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on the design, modification, and evaluation of nuclear power plant systems, contributing directly to safe, efficient, and innovative energy solutions. You will prepare and review modification packages, technical drawings, specifications, and vendor evaluations while leading project teams through complex engineering tasks. The position involves interfacing with clients and vendors, visiting plant sites, and coordinating construction and field verification activities. You will play a pivotal role in both engineering analysis and operational decision-making, supporting lifecycle improvements and modernization of nuclear systems. This is a dynamic role requiring technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and effective collaboration across multiple stakeholders. You will help ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and aligned with regulatory standards while advancing your career in the nuclear power industry.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 10+ years of experience in the nuclear power industry, with strong knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Experience with electrical system design, plant modifications, and project management in a nuclear environment.
  • PE license is beneficial but not required.
  • Proven ability to lead engineering teams and collaborate with clients and vendors.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Must be able to travel periodically to client sites or offices, including during key project or plant outage periods.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and evaluate modification packages and functional drawings for operating nuclear power plant systems.
  • Conduct engineering analyses and evaluations to support plant operations and modifications.
  • Develop technical specifications, procurement documents, and vendor bid evaluations for plant equipment.
  • Lead engineering project teams and coordinate cross-functional activities, including design reviews and construction verification.
  • Develop engineering cost estimates for small to mid-sized client-requested work scopes.
  • Interface with clients and vendors, providing presentations and updates on engineering tasks and project status.
  • Travel to client sites and offices as required for project and outage support.
