The position involves analyzing manufacturing equipment to identify opportunities for improving reliability, which includes reducing the frequency of repetitive failures and minimizing downtime incidents. The role requires assisting supervisors and craftsmen in troubleshooting machine issues and repairs, as well as developing and managing projects for equipment installation and preventative maintenance. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for developing preventative and predictive maintenance programs for both new and existing equipment, along with training programs. Maintaining electrical documentation for production equipment is also a key responsibility.

  • Analyzing manufacturing equipment for opportunities to improve reliability as measured by such items as reduction in frequency of repetitive failures.
  • Reduction in downtime incidents and the duration of such incidents.
  • Assisting supervisors and craftsmen in troubleshooting machine issues and repairs.
  • Developing and managing projects for equipment installation and preventative maintenance.
  • Developing preventative/predictive maintenance programs for new and existing equipment and training programs.
  • Developing and maintaining electrical documentation for production equipment.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Thorough understanding and demonstrated hands-on experience configuring, programming, and troubleshooting PLC's, HMI's, and variable speed drives.
  • Basic knowledge of AC and DC motors and power distribution.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes: NEC, OSHA, and ANSI.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably BSEE or BSEET.
  • Must be a proven team player, catalyst for change, strong communicator, and have solid organizational skills, good time management, and administrative skills.
  • Good computer skills and the ability to effectively use various information systems necessary.
  • Must possess excellent communication and effective coaching skills.
  • Work with the IT group to optimize and integrate the machine network to meet the demands of manufacturing.
  • Willingness to work in a 24/7 operation environment and be flexible to respond to their share of after work calls and will participate in periodic shutdowns.
  • Participate in off-hours on-call rotation.
  • Proficiency in Allen Bradley Software Suite.
  • Rockwell FactoryTalk implementation and maintenance experience.
  • FactoryTalk VantagePoint EMI experience.
  • Capital project management ($5000 - $1,000,000).
  • Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) development.
  • Power distribution experience.
  • MS Project, MS Office, and AutoCad.
