About The Position

Aggreko is hiring immediately for an Electrical Engineer in the Houston or New Iberia Area. This role is critical in ensuring that our customers receive the electricity, heating, and cooling they need. The position involves designing and implementing safe, reliable, and efficient electrical power generation and distribution systems, as well as assisting the sales team in securing contracts by visiting client sites and crafting creative economical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years of relevant hands-on work experience
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• General understanding of engineering economics, estimating, budgeting, and basic financial principles
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to persuade through the use of logical arguments and objective data
• Working knowledge of relevant industry-consensus codes and standards from NFPA, IEEE, and UL

Responsibilities

• Design and implement safe, reliable, and efficient electrical power generation and distribution systems.
• Help the sales team secure contracts by visiting client sites and crafting creative economical solutions.
• Assist with the procurement of new electrical, refrigeration, and compressed air rental assets.
• Test, install, commission, program, and troubleshoot low voltage and medium voltage switchgear, transformers, voltage regulators, motor controllers, and PLCs.
• Analyze test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications.
• Create and modify single-line diagrams, location plans, grounding plans, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Carry out a peer-review of engineering deliverables.
• Inspect equipment and systems for electrical code and safety deficiencies.
• Travel approximately 25%.
