About the position
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design for large commercial buildings. This position involves a variety of responsibilities including preparing reports, cost estimating, specification development, performing calculations, and selecting equipment for specification. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing construction documents for bidding. The role requires proficiency in both AutoCAD and Revit, as you will be designing in these software programs. You will also conduct site visits, manage project deadlines, and interact with clients and architects to ensure that project specifications are met and that the designs align with client expectations. As an Electrical Engineer, you will create MEP Electrical designs for building projects, which include lighting, power, short circuits, generator setups, single-line designs, and adherence to NEC codes. This position is primarily design-heavy, but it also requires you to perform site visits approximately 10% of the time, which may involve travel to various sites across the United States. The work environment is hybrid, requiring some days on-site in Tysons, VA, and some days remote, with flexibility to work from home up to two days a week. Responsibilities
- Prepare reports and cost estimates for electrical engineering projects.
- Develop specifications and perform calculations for electrical systems.

- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and progress.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- 2-6+ years of electrical engineering design experience.
- Ability to create MEP Electrical designs for building projects including lighting, power, short circuits, generator setups, and single-line designs.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit software.
- EIT Certification or PE License is preferred.
