Our engineers are responsible for delivery of complex construction packages including tool installation design. You'll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of assigned routine engineering tasks. As you gain familiarity with the client's expectations, scope, budget and schedule for assigned tasks, you'll effectively recognize and communicate scope and design changes promptly. You'll coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead. You may have supervision of less experienced engineering and design staff. Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team may produce single-line diagrams depicting electrical power systems 208Y/120V through 480V, installation details, electric room layouts, tool installation connection diagrams, cable tray layouts, cable schedules, power plans, lighting plans, breaker coordination studies, and Arc Flash / Short-Circuit Current studies. You will support senior engineers in selection and specification of electrical equipment. You may also be asked to provide on-site assistance during startups.   • Delivery of complex construction packages including tool installation design.
  • Accountable for schedule and technical quality of assigned routine engineering tasks.
  • Recognize and communicate scope and design changes promptly.
  • Coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead.
  • Supervise less experienced engineering and design staff.
  • Produce single-line diagrams depicting electrical power systems.
  • Support senior engineers in selection and specification of electrical equipment.
  • Provide on-site assistance during startups.
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
  • At least 5 years of Electrical Engineering experience related to facility engineering.
  • Knowledge and application of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Working knowledge of CAD and/or BIM modeling software.
  • Strong skill set to digitally markup drawings, utilizing applications such as Autodesk Design Review and BIM360.
  • Experience working in construction environments, including field verifications.
  • Familiarity of design and construction project delivery.
  • Knowledge and application of other NFPA codes and industry standards.
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) or ability to obtain in the State of Idaho.
  • Experience leading a small team.
  • Experience with semiconductor tool installation.
  • Experience with project scoping and development.
  • Experience with PTW SKM power analysis software, Easypower and/or ETAP.
  • Experience with NavisWorks and/or Revit BIM software.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability for forward thinking, eagerness to learn best practices, and to contribute with innovative ideas.
