AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Architectural Engineering Team. This is an entry-level position and is based out of Orlando, FL. AtkinsRéalis is a world-class engineering services and nuclear organization.   • Applies standard engineering practices and techniques in specific situations.
  • Conducts Electrical System Analysis.
  • Creates/writes Basis of Design.
  • Writes Technical Specifications.
  • Performs various system level calculations (e.g., voltage drop and available fault current calculations).
  • Conducts electrical load calculation/modeling.
  • Models electrical systems using Revit/AutoCAD or drafts using Revit/AutoCAD.
  • Performs Lighting Photometric calculations.
  • Assists in planning, design, and production of engineering drawings including electrical lighting and power layout.
  • Carries out specific assignments in preparing, reviewing, and assembling specifications.
  • Participates in engineering investigations and planning work by completing well-defined tasks.
  • Prepares assigned sections of reports under the close review of a more experienced professional.
  • Participates in projects involving construction activities by reviewing shop drawings for conformance with construction documentation.
  • Prepares material for reports and permit/bid applications.
  • Performs field observations of construction where appropriate.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • 0 - 2 years' experience in related technical field, internship or experience in engineering or commercial construction preferred.
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • Relevant coursework: Linear Algebra, Mechanics, Electromagnetic Fields and Waves, Circuit Theory, Control Theory, Electric Machines, Transmission Line Theory, Power System Analysis, Power Electronics.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Technical writing skills.
  • Software experience (Revit/AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.).
  • EIT Preferred.
