The Electrical/Electronics Hardware Engineer I supports the development of innovative water management and smart plumbing products. In this entry-level role, you will contribute to the design, testing, and integration of electrical and electronic systems in products such as sensor-operated faucets, flush valves, and water control systems. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards, helping Zurn deliver sustainable and intelligent water solutions.

  • Assist in the design and development of electrical systems, circuits, and components for new and existing products.
  • Support prototype builds, testing, and validation of electrical designs.
  • Create and maintain schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Perform basic calculations and simulations to support design decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, software, manufacturing, and quality engineers.
  • Participate in design reviews, failure analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company procedures.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues during development and production.
  • Follow safety protocols and quality standards in all projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience
  • Basic understanding of circuit theory, electronics, and electrical design principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, datasheets, and technical specifications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow professionally through mentorship and hands-on experience.
  • Internship or co-op experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to embedded systems, PCB layout, or electrical testing.
  • Familiarity with circuit board design software (e.g., OrCAD/Allegro) and simulation software.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking tools / project management (e.g., Azure DevOps).
  • Familiarity with low-power design.
  • Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, Joulescope, and power meters.
  • Experience in all aspects of the product lifecycle.
