Job Description Design advanced electronic safety systems for aerospace and defense with Teledyne Electronic Safety Products! For nearly four decades, we’ve delivered highly reliable solutions for aircrew safety, launch vehicles, and energetic devices. Join our Chatsworth, CA team as an Electrical Design Engineer and help develop complex circuit card assemblies for mission-critical applications.

  • Lead design and development of high-complexity analog and digital CCAs
  • Design and verify FPGA architectures and perform circuit analysis and simulation
  • Prepare trade-off analyses and documentation for multiple design approaches
  • Conduct tests, experiments, and root-cause failure analysis
  • Select components based on performance specifications and guidelines
  • Develop test fixtures, procedures, and support factory troubleshooting
  • Generate engineering documentation for requirements, design, assembly, and verification
  • Mentor junior engineers and apply continuous improvement methods
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (required)
  • 5+ years of experience in FPGA and board-level design (required)
  • Proficiency with EE design tools (OrCAD, ModelSim, PSpice) and FPGA tools (Xilinx, Microsemi, Altera) (required)
  • Strong knowledge of analog circuit design and VHDL (required)
  • Must be a U.S. Person (includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees) (required)
  • Avionics development experience and familiarity with DO-254/DO-160 (advantage)
