AECOM has an opening for an experienced Electrical Engineer to be based in Los Angeles , CA . Join our dynamic team supporting exciting projects! This role will be supporting LA28 . This project is a resume builder! With an unprecedented scope, we’ll support full delivery of the venue infrastructure program for the Games, featuring 50+ sports, 800+ events and more than 15,000 Olympic and Paralympic athletes. Beyond our role with LA28, we’ve been trusted to move the city’s infrastructure forward across the energy transition, water security, mobility, sports, education, public safety, climate adaptation and carbon reduction. The Electrical Engineer will join a multidisciplinary, collaborative team with a range of expertise supporting the expansion of their knowledge base with the ability to travel and gain field experience. Job Summary/Responsibilities Electrical engineering support from conceptual design through construction administration and post-occupancy Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer. Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures. Support in the review of shop drawings during the construction administration phase Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids Write reports and memos for internal and external purposes based on findings Works cooperatively with managers and other employees to achieve company's mission Ensures discipline plans that are created meet overall project team requirements for project scope, quality and schedule Stays current on codes and technologies appropriate to the electrical disciplines Support on site visits for the purpose of data collection and evaluation of electrical systems, equipment, components and materials for projects Develops designs within a BIM design environment Completes assigned engineering and design tasks in accordance with client specified criteria and applicable codes and standards

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or related field
  • +4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree from an ABET accredited University and has passed the fundamentals of Engineering Exam (EIT/FE)
  • Strong experience with Revit and AutoCAD based design projects
  • 4+ years of electrical engineering experience within a consulting or design-build firm
  • Strong communication skills: articulate, assertive, and confident
  • Creative thinker with effective teamwork skills
  • Desire to be mentored by leadership.
  • Experience with sustainable design
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy/quality of work.
  • Proficient in the use of drafting software including Revit and AutoCAD
  • Power system studies experience utilizing SKM, ETAP or Easy Power.
  • Lighting calculation experience with Visual, AGI32 or Elumtools.
  • Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard Microsoft software.
  • Ability to work with and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team
