About The Position
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the operations and maintenance support of electrical power distribution systems, including high voltage substations, transformers, switchgear, motors, motor control centers, lighting, grounding, electrical wiring, and hazardous area classification. The role involves leading and participating in electrical engineering activities that improve the reliability of Airgas assets and optimize maintenance costs. The engineer will manage and assist in analysis and ensure follow-up on predictive data, provide technical guidance to operating plants, assist with engineering studies and incident investigations, and provide technical assistance to field personnel. The position also includes providing engineering assistance to other departments, participating in project planning, and implementing Smart Innovative Operations (SIO) Predict initiatives for electrical equipment at Airgas.
