About The Position

To provide technical support in a manufacturing environment to include hardware, software, PLC, electrical troubleshooting, and computer-based programming to maintain, repair and continuously improve.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical/Electronic Engineering from an accredited University or equivalent combination of technical education and expertise.
  • Five to eight years of experience in manufacturing and industrial controls to include Siemens.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing and industrial controls to include Allen Bradley, Schneider, and other forms of Ladder Logic.

Responsibilities

  • PLC Management, generate programs backups, from PLC's, Drives, HMI and any other systems that require programs download and upload.
  • Analyze processes and initiate improvements with respect to software, equipment performance, repetitive and down time issues.
  • Plan, budget, schedule and coordinate electrical projects on site, internal and/or external.
  • Troubleshoot, detection, analysis of existing equipment/systems faults.
  • Assist in installation and start-up of new systems/equipment.
  • Document methods and systems to standardize procedures and maintain production controls.
  • Assist in training of electrically skilled personnel.
  • Develop and implement the corporation's best methods for process and control equipment.
  • Develop, follow, and enforce HS&E practices and policies on all shifts.
  • Must train and become a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
  • Maintains housekeeping in area of responsibility.
  • Practice and follows Lean Manufacturing on the job training.
  • Promote teamwork & cooperation using Lean tools, WPS, TWI, Book Club, 5S, TPM, etc. and participation in Natural Work Teams.
  • Maintain 5s philosophy by maintaining area and equipment clean, well-ordered, and organized.
  • Request quotes, generate P.O.'s and follow up with vendors on parts requested.
  • Manage assigned resources, internal - contractors during any project on site.
  • Promote teamwork and cooperation.
  • Coordinate tasks related with Preventive Maintenance and create action plans for tasks to be covered over weekends.
  • Management of procedures and processes under IATF16949 and ISO14001.
  • Provide support on internal audits processes for HS&E, IATF16949 and ISO14001.
  • Participate on the Continues Improvement Process with other departments such as Process, Production and Maintenance.
