About The Position

The Electrical Engineer role involves providing technical support in the development of detailed job plans for instrument and equipment repairs and preventive maintenance. The engineer will develop engineering work packages for critical maintenance jobs and improvement projects, monitor and trend E&I equipment issues, and generate management of changes documentation for solutions to equipment problems. Responsibilities also include maintaining instrument specifications and area E&I drawings, performing incident investigations, and providing technical support to the production group. The role requires collaboration with drafting personnel, production and maintenance teams, corporate engineering, and construction contractors. The engineer will manage the turnover of implemented control strategies to the customer, assist in managing long-term reliability efforts for plant process control systems, and promote site process safety initiatives. Additional tasks include leading interlock checks, supporting root cause analysis, and maintaining documentation related to process operation and safety.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering by May of 2026
  • 0-2 years experience
  • Ability to work as an individual contributor and as part of a diverse team
  • Strong communications skills, both oral and written
  • Strong decision making and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work on and balance multiple assignments and priorities
  • Must be able to perform work in a manufacturing plant environment
  • Computer proficiency in Windows based programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong safety ethic

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support in the development of detailed job plans for instrument and equipment repairs/PMs
  • Develop engineering work packages for critical maintenance jobs and improvement projects
  • Monitor/trend, identify and develop solutions to E&I equipment issues
  • Generate management of changes documentation for solutions to E&I equipment problems
  • Maintain instrument specs and area E&I drawings
  • Perform incident investigations and participate in unit or area safety teams
  • Provide technical support to production group with instrument and process issues
  • Work closely with drafting personnel, production and maintenance personnel, corporate engineering, and construction contractors
  • Manage the proper turnover of implemented control strategies to the customer
  • Assist in managing the long term reliability efforts for the plant process control systems
  • Promote site process safety and plant safety initiatives
  • Lead interlock checks and provide troubleshooting guidance to technicians
  • Assist other plant engineers and technicians regarding instrumentation performance
  • Support and participate in root cause analysis and failure mode and effect analysis studies
  • Assist with maintaining documentation related to process operation, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Engage and promote continued development of self and plant personnel
  • Comply with site safety rules and work to improve safety
