We are looking to hire top talent to join our dynamic team! ND Paper offers full benefits and a competitive compensation. We are currently seeking an entry level Electrical Engineer to join our team. The Electrical Engineer will work under the direction of the Project & Engineering Manager and is a full-time salaried position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with electrical experience, preferably in the paper industry
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered
  • Basic understanding of National Electric Code and NFPA 70E Standards

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD is beneficial
  • Experience with Allen Bradley & Siemens PLC's and knowledge of various Rockwell Automation & Siemens drive products

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate safety as a core value and establish a safe work environment by actively leading the safe execution of work
  • Provide electrical/instrumentation engineering services necessary for the mill to complete their capital improvement projects and engineering service requests
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving daily electrical/instrumentation problems with the mill's machinery and equipment
  • Investigate and assist in solving chronic maintenance problems as assigned by supervisor
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining the mill's preventative and predictive maintenance program for area of responsibility
  • Conduct periodic rounds of the mill for electrical/instrumentation problems
  • Ensure that electrical/instrumentation activities are carried out at a minimum of cost, labor, materials, and lost production
  • Support training of electrical/instrumentation mill technicians, as assigned by supervisor
  • Assist in the updating and maintenance of the mill's electrical and instrumentation drawings
  • Be subject to emergency call-ins, weekend and holiday coverage rotation
