Automotive - Electrical Engineer / Sr. Electrical Technician
About The Position
Our company represents Tier 1 Automotive Suppliers throughout North and South America. We have a customer that needs a temporary, Full-Time Electrical Engineer / Sr. Electrical Technician to support them through a new product launch for an OEM Customer. We expect the project to last 6 months minimum, with the possibility to carry on longer. This must be an electrically trained Senior Tech or Engineer This person will be tasked with performing and managing re-flashes These could be individual components outside a vehicle, or assembled on a vehicle. Additionally, the following will be required of this position - This must be an electrically trained senior tech or engineer. Run Vector program GUI (Customer provided software interface) to operate lamp functions Run oscilloscope (pico scope on computer or portable oscope) to measure signals coming into the Headlamp (from the BCM) - Example - Record scope plots in various vehicle key positions (off, key on, engine on) Take Vector CAN logs for SLM data Support Customer engineers at Local corporate office Person should be trained in using Vector tools Conduct A-B-A swaps of of lamps or SLM modules and take data to show if the error follows the part The locations for this service will include OEM Assembly Plants and Technical Centers in Normal, IL. Our customer is a major supplier of Lighting Components to the Automotive market.
