About the position

The Senior Electrical Engineer researches, designs, develops, tests, or supervises the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use. This role employs knowledge of electrical theory and materials properties, applying leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts to contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. The engineer works on unusually complex problems and provides highly innovative solutions, operating with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision. Additionally, the engineer mentors or supervises employees in both firm and technical competencies.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, test, or supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems.
  • Employ knowledge of electrical theory and materials properties.
  • Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts to develop new principles and concepts.
  • Work on unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions.
  • Mentor or supervise employees in both firm and technical competencies.

Requirements

  • 11+ years of experience in electrical design for military or commercial electronics systems.
  • Experience with analysis of electrical designs and high voltage.
  • Experience with analysis and characterization of electrical systems or infrastructure of underground WMD facilities and hard and deeply buried targets, including nuclear reactors, reprocessing facilities, storage and related infrastructure.
  • Experience conducting vulnerability analyses and assessments to determine defeat options.
  • Experience using engineering research and reverse engineering to conduct analyses, physical and functional characterizations, and vulnerability assessments on foreign nuclear capabilities.
  • Knowledge of software and coding.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering Certification.
