Position Summary: The Electrical Engineer will contribute to the development of robotic surgical systems, supporting electrical design from concept through commercialization. This role focuses on new product development (NPD) and includes hands-on design, prototyping, integration, and testing of complex electromechanical systems. The engineer will work cross-functionally with mechanical, software, and systems teams to deliver robust, reliable, and scalable electrical architectures aligned with clinical and user needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering with 2-5 years of product development experience, preferably in robotics or complex systems
  • General experience with PCB development including schematic, layout, building, debugging and component selection
  • Proficient with electrical test equipment; oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc
  • Familiar with design for test, analyzing information, and reporting results
  • Experience with schematic capture software (Altium preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems and PCBAs for robotic platforms containing analog, digital, and microcontroller circuitry
  • Drive prototyping, bring-up, testing, and debugging of electrical subsystems
  • Interface with PCB designers to complete circuit board layouts and documentation packages
  • Collaborate on system integration and troubleshoot issues across hardware and software
  • Develop test fixtures and support V&V testing to ensure performance meets system requirements
  • Apply design for manufacturability (DFM) and support transition to production
  • Contribute to design documentation and DHF deliverables
  • Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies
