About The Position

The position involves contributing technical expertise and working within a fast-paced team of scientists and engineers on the development of next generation RF/mmWave Subsystems. The candidate will be expected to work within diverse teams taking responsibility for the design, implementation, and testing of high-performance electrical subsystems. Responsibilities include performing preliminary and critical designs based on COTS or custom active and passive parts and components with oversight from a Senior Engineer, overseeing fabrication and testing, schematic capture, PCB layout, fabrication documentation, and module assembly. The role also requires collaboration with Mechanical Engineering to develop thermal solutions and address any mechanical design considerations.

Requirements

  • Experience with Schematic Capture.
  • Experience with PCB Layout.
  • At least 3 years of experience designing, implementing, and testing electronics circuits.
  • Experience simulating electronics behavior in Spice, ADS, or similar software.
  • Experience with RF & mmW PCB development, layout, and testing is a plus.
  • Experience with Altium Designer is preferred.
  • Experience with design and qualification of hardware for military applications.
  • Working knowledge of electronic sub-assemblies from component to subsystem level.
  • Familiarity with characteristics and tradeoffs of active and passive components.
  • Understanding of RF components and devices.
  • Knowledge of microelectronic packaging/integration and thermal management.
  • Familiarity with digital, mixed-signal, power and signal integrity tools.
  • Familiarity with PCB manufacturing standards (IPC 6012, IPC-A-610, Drill tolerancing, etc.).
  • Proficiency in using computers, engineering workstations, and complex electronic equipment.
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with RF & mmW PCB development, layout, and testing.
  • Experience with Altium Designer.

  • Familiarity with digital, mixed-signal, power and signal integrity tools.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $99,705 - $124,683 + bonus + benefits.
