Requirements

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (experience in Physics preferred)
  • Minimum of 4 years of hardware design experience; 5 to 8 years preferred
  • Experience in RF and analog design (DC to 500MHz)
  • Familiar with the principles of digital signal processing
  • Experience in designing control systems
  • Expertise in schematic & layout tools; DX Designer preferred
  • Proficiency with one or more of the following tools preferred: SPICE for analog, MATLAB, or Maple
  • Firmware/software skills required: experienced in C and Verilog
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with optical products, including lasers
  • PhD
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree or University Degree or equivalent
  • Typically 8+ years of relevant experience for entry to this level. Post-graduate and/or certification/license may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Innovate, develop, and manufacture the world's most precise displacement measurement instruments essential for controlling motion in semiconductor equipment.
  • Be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team of R&D engineers developing distance measuring systems utilizing laser interferometry.
  • Develop analog and mixed signal circuits and firmware to control lasers and process signals from various technologies.
  • Start with system-level specifications and culminate in fully qualified products.
