Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Electrical Engineer/Principal Electrical Engineer in support of the Sentinel program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities, and associated infrastructure. What You'll Get To Do The Sentinel Command and Launch team oversees the ground design of the facilities and its hardware to support the future upgrade of the Minuteman III missiles as well as the unique flight test facilities. Our teams are hiring Electrical Engineers within areas of focus: Cable Harness design, Circuit Card design and electrical analysis. Looking for experience in any of the following: Product life cycle, Teamcenter, Mentor Capital/Xpedition or similar, Line loss analysis, Derating analysis, bent pin analysis, signal integrity analysis, TEMPEST, EMI. Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following: Responsible for overseeing and coordinating electrical systems design/analysis in accordance with scope of work. Reviews engineering deliverables consisting of one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, data sheets, requirement specifications, hazardous area classification drawings, electrical analysis and electrical power studies. Supports the development and/or delivery of any of the following: electrical facility designs Technical Data Packages, Product Definition Packages (PDP), Analysis Data Packages (ADP), interface models, and additional design artifacts. Reviews the work of engineers and designers developing engineering and design documents as needed for the project. Verifies complex calculations and applies standards correctly without supervision. Ensures design/analysis quality by validating that processes and procedures are applied and integrating/interfacing across teams. Responsible for briefing design and/or analysis artifacts to leadership, stakeholders and the customers Identifying risks and opportunities associated with or driven by design factors and executing handling/mitigation/capture actions to reduce risk or realize opportunities.
