We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer specializing in industrial power distribution to support Plant Engineering Services in a chemical manufacturing facility. This role is critical to ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient electrical power delivery across all plant systems, including high-demand process equipment, safety systems, and environmental controls. Work will be performed on-site in Longview, TX. Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Design, maintain, and optimize medium and low-voltage power distribution systems tailored to chemical processing operations. Develop , Review, and Approve all electrical deliverables. Specify electrical infrastructure including transformers, switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, UPS systems, and related equipment. Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, and OSHA standards, as well as chemical industry-specific safety protocols. Develop and maintain electrical documentation including single-line diagrams, schematics, and equipment specifications. Contribute to establishing and revising electrical area classifications Ensure equipment meets the requirements of the hazardous area designation. Validating project and construction estimates at the beginning of a project and then tracking changes as the project progresses. Initiating timely change notices when scope change affects schedule, deliverables or cost. Utilizing and following department design and drafting standards. Reviewing and verifying calculations made by other engineers to ensure accuracy, conformance to codes, specifications, design criteria and conformance to good engineering practice. Assisting the engineering designers in resolving routine layout and detailing problems.
