About The Position

As a Electrical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in executing a state-of-the-art enrichment facility from concept through commission. You will design, analyze, and build high power electrical systems that meet regulatory requirements for safety, performance, and compliance. You will have the opportunity to work on a greenfield project collaborating with mechanical engineers, structural engineers, architects, and both internal and external partners to develop detailed electrical designs and specifications. This is an exciting opportunity to solve complex problems at scale, manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment, and bring modern enrichment facilities online.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similar discipline.
  • 8+ years of industry experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
  • 5+ years in professional settings working on electrical design projects, power distribution systems, switchgears, PUS’s, and/or generators.
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Evidence of exceptional ability (prior projects, portfolio of work, completed products, etc).
  • Experience in a fast-paced engineering environment or a highly technical role requiring a resourceful, entrepreneurial approach to complete tasks within tight timeframes or budget constraints.
  • Prior professional consulting experience and/or MEP professional experience.
  • Experience in industrial level power distribution systems.
  • Experience working on data center electrical/power systems.
  • Experience working with local and state compliance.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70E, NFPA 70 NEC, NFPA 497, NFPA 101, and IBC.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop detailed electrical designs for various systems and equipment, including electrical power distribution systems, uninterruptible power supply units, standby and emergency generators, and automatic transfer switches.
  • Prepare design packages up to Permit level in Revit.
  • Own support for the design, operation, and troubleshooting of all facility electrical components and systems, including load flow analysis, equipment evaluation, building and facility equipment grounding, data and power monitoring hardware and software.
  • Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis of electrical issues.
  • Ensure compliance and code review utilizing NFPA 70E, NFPA 70 NEC, NFPA 497, NFPA 101, and IBC.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, structural, architectural, and nuclear engineers on ensuring system compatibility, including facility power budgets.
