About The Position

Noblis MSD is seeking Electrical Engineers with an active Secret Clearance in Philadelphia, PA. Noblis MSD is seeking several Electrical Engineering candidates to support various hull, mechanical and electrical systems (HM&E), and research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E) programs for the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD). This requisition covers multiple positions, including: Electrical Engineer, Jr. Level Electrical Engineer, Mid Level Electrical Engineer, Senior Level.

Requirements

  • Junior Level: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related scientific or technical discipline. Requires minimum of three (3) years of electrical engineering experience. Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance. Must be a US Citizen.
  • Mid Level: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related scientific or technical discipline. Requires minimum of five (5) years of electrical engineering experience. Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance. Must be a US Citizen.
  • Senior Level: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related scientific or technical discipline. Requires minimum of eight (8) years of electrical engineering experience. Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance. Must be a US Citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Submarine electrical system concepts.
  • Submarine systems Subject Matter Expert Preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic project management principles to include but not limited to planning, organizing, directing and controlling organizational resources in order to meet goals and objectives.
  • Experienced in specific to Naval maintenance and upkeep processes is a plus.
  • Ability to interact with multiple Navy activities and effectively communicate technical information with all levels of personnel both military and civilian.
  • Active clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components to meet project specifications and industry standards.
  • Create detailed electrical schematics, conducting simulations, and performing analysis to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
  • Support of electrical engineering systems as related to the area of design and modifications of steam and diesel driven electrical power generation systems and equipment.
  • Interpret and apply electrical schematics, blueprints, NAVSEA standards, and the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM).
  • Effective communication and documentation of technical information will be crucial, as you will prepare reports, manuals, and presentations for stakeholders and clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and project managers, to integrate electrical solutions into larger systems.
  • Facilitate fleet implementation and fielding plans.
  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Provide feedback and lessons learned for test plans and technical documentation.
  • Follow all applicable regulations, including ISO and company policies, procedures, and standards.
