We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Electrical Consulting and Design Engineer to join our growing MEP team. This position involves executing projects across diverse sectors, including high-rise, institutional, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, mission-critical, and mixed-use facilities—covering both new construction and major renovations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical system design and analysis, and client engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 4 years of electrical engineering experience in an MEP consulting environment.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (required); experience with Revit and electrical modeling tools such as ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower is highly desirable.

Nice To Haves

  • LEED AP or other sustainability certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and modify existing building electrical systems across various sectors.
  • Conduct site surveys, make confident field-based decisions, and troubleshoot legacy systems.
  • Prepare electrical drawings and specifications for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, telecommunications, and life safety systems.
  • Perform power studies including short circuit analysis, coordination, and arc flash hazard assessments using ETAP, SKM PowerTools, or similar tools.
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of NEC, NYC Electrical Code, NFPA 70E, and energy codes such as IECC/ASHRAE 90.1.
