Electrical Engineer IV
About The Position
This is an onsite role in Redmond, Washington. The Electrical Engineer IV will work on innovative hardware design and electrical engineering projects. The role involves designing and developing novel interfaces and hardware subsystems for next-generation virtual, augmented, and mixed reality experiences. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of experience, including embedded design, analog/mixed signal design, and camera systems. The position requires expertise in designing mixed high-speed digital circuit boards, troubleshooting at the board and system level, and working with display driver ICs.
Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience required.
- 5+ years of industry experience in hardware design or electrical engineering roles, including the use of schematic and board layout tools and bench test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and function generators.
- Proven experience in bringing up and debugging opto-electrical systems with components such as image sensors, display driver ICs, lasers, depth sensors, switching power supplies, and digital communication interfaces.
Nice To Haves
- Analog circuit design experience.
- Experience designing camera aggregation systems.
- Experience with flex and rigid-flex designs.
Responsibilities
- Develop schematics, guide board layout, assemble, test, debug, and integrate multi-component electrical systems using industry-standard simulation and design tools such as Cadence, Altium, MATLAB, and SPICE.
- Successfully bring up and debug opto-electrical systems, including image sensors, display driver ICs, lasers, depth sensors, switching power supplies, and low/high-speed digital communication interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, MIPI, and USB SS.
- Adapt and respond to changing priorities effectively.
- Simulate and test machine/structure/system operation.
