About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer IV to join our team in Redmond, Washington. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in PCB/FPC design, system integration, and debugging of firmware and electrical components. This role requires a strong background in electrical engineering principles and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful design and implementation of complex systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • Proficiency in OrCAD, PADS, or Altium designer PCB layout tools.
  • Experience with PCB designing industrial standards for manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of IPC standards and guidelines.
  • Expertise in Gerber verification and drawing creation for manufacturing.
  • Experience with board bring-up and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Own complex PCB/FPC designs, including analog, digital, RF, Camera, Display, Audio, Sensors, and power charging components. Multi-layer complex design experience is required.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers to ensure board profiles meet system integration requirements.
  • Create and manage PCB documentation, including fabrication and assembly packages such as Gerber, ODB, BoM, fab, and assembly drawings.
  • Interface with board fabrication vendors to select proper materials and stack-up, ensuring correct impedance and rulesets.
  • Work with assembly vendors to supply data and address assembly design requirements.
  • Resolve DFM and manufacturing-related issues.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers and document control departments to release fab and assembly packages into a company-wide PLM system.
  • Work closely with ECAD librarians to maintain and expand the companywide library.
  • Perform system integration of various systems, including MCU, Drivers, FPGAs, etc.
  • Debug firmware and electrical components within the system.
