About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer IV to join our team in Redmond, Washington. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in PCB/FPC design, system integration, and debugging of firmware and electrical components. This role requires a strong background in electrical engineering principles and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful design and implementation of complex systems.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
5 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Proficiency in OrCAD, PADS, or Altium designer PCB layout tools.
Experience with PCB designing industrial standards for manufacturing.
Knowledge of IPC standards and guidelines.
Expertise in Gerber verification and drawing creation for manufacturing.
Experience with board bring-up and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Own complex PCB/FPC designs, including analog, digital, RF, Camera, Display, Audio, Sensors, and power charging components. Multi-layer complex design experience is required.
Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers to ensure board profiles meet system integration requirements.
Create and manage PCB documentation, including fabrication and assembly packages such as Gerber, ODB, BoM, fab, and assembly drawings.
Interface with board fabrication vendors to select proper materials and stack-up, ensuring correct impedance and rulesets.
Work with assembly vendors to supply data and address assembly design requirements.
Resolve DFM and manufacturing-related issues.
Collaborate with hardware engineers and document control departments to release fab and assembly packages into a company-wide PLM system.
Work closely with ECAD librarians to maintain and expand the companywide library.
Perform system integration of various systems, including MCU, Drivers, FPGAs, etc.
Debug firmware and electrical components within the system.
