Location: This position does not support teleworking ; you will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in: Cape Canaveral FL and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time. Please note we will not provide relocation services for this position. What does this role look like? The new Hardware Engineer will support the LE2 program for Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE). Use your strong electrical engineering skills to work with all project partners and define the future for FBM! Key activities you will accomplish in this role: In this dynamic role you will: Participate in requirements analysis, configuration determination, design, alterations, material procurement, manufacturing, test and acceptance for a wide variety of electrical and electromechanical test systems and multifunction integrated test equipment in support of the US Navy’s Ballistic Missile Flight Test Program. Mentor Junior engineers, interface extensively with out customers, as well as senior leadership. Create/update project/process documentation that align to project requirements. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead the design, procurement, assembly, test and verification of our automated test systems, including data review and trending. Develop hardware requirements from subsystem to all locally assigned support equipment test systems. Interface with suppliers, customer and internal design teams to provide cost effective and low risk solutions. Develop test system design documentation to communicate proposed designs to internal design and business teams, vendors and customers. Support, as required, Failure Review Board activities through closure. Ability to travel and work at alternate work sites as required, less than 25%. To be effective in this role, you will need: Experience in both design and test of electrical hardware +5 years of professional experience for this role. Ability to work remotely Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Security Clearance Information This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
