Our Forensic practice investigates problems in the built environment and provides evidence-based solutions founded on rigorous science and physics. We assist attorneys, property managers, building owners, contractors, manufacturers, and design professionals with a wide range of engineering and architectural issues. The Role We are seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern to join our Forensics Practice for a full-time Summer 2026 internship. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary team of engineers and architects, contributing to active projects and gaining hands-on experience in forensic investigations.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Revit, MicroStation, or Bluebeam is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with on-site surveys, investigations, and documentation of building conditions, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems
  • Supporting the preparation of field notes and documentation
  • Assisting with technical and investigative reports to support forensic findings
  • Helping develop presentation materials and project deliverables
  • Researching and reviewing applicable building codes, ASHRAE standards, and other industry guidelines
  • Supporting the preparation of drawings, specifications, and construction administration tasks
