About The Position

We are seeking a pulsed power engineering intern to join our team and help with the design, development, and testing of pulsed power systems (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p18VCY21OUI [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p18VCY21OUI]). The machines we work with generate x-rays to simulate radiation environments in well-shielded testing areas with nanosecond pulse durations. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work in a lab environment, data analysis, and spirited discussions on data interpretation with the team. As an intern you would work closely with experienced pulsed power scientists and technicians to learn how to safely contribute to design goals and develop an understanding of these high voltage systems. There will be opportunities to contribute to developed systems and designs of future systems.  Come help our team develop, build, test, and run the next generation of pulsed power systems! The internship will take place in the summer of 2026 with flexibility for a May or June start time.
